How it works

Tell us your family's needs.Get a trip everyone can agree on.

Direct answer

Tell Trip, Figured about your flights, family, room needs, travel pace, budget, and anything already booked. You get one clear recommended route, a few distinct alternatives, a step-by-step booking checklist, and an easy way to adjust your trip if plans change.

Recommended action: request early access for your travel dates.

  • Non-negotiables (locked flights, family rooms, no early wake-ups) are always protected.
  • One top route is recommended first; other great options wait on the side.
  • You book directly with hotels and trains. We never issue tickets.
  • Your confirmed bookings are never secretly changed.

1. Getting started: what you share

Every great trip starts with your flights and family: your arrival and departure cities and dates, who is traveling (adults and kids' ages), and how many rooms you need. You can also share helpful preferences: dietary needs, walking limits, preferred dinner times, earliest morning departure, must-see sights, places to skip, budget goals, and any hotels or trains already booked.

Whether you speak into your phone, type a quick note, or paste a confirmation email, we turn it into a clear summary. You can review, adjust, or lock in your family's preferences before anything is built.

2. Clear family preferences you can adjust

We reflect your preferences in everyday language: “Two rooms, kids 9 and 12, no departures before 9:00 AM, vegetarian, dinner by eight, Paris and Switzerland are must-visits.” If a preference was marked as optional when it's actually essential, you can lock it in. We don't start building the route until your essential rules are set.

3. Real alternatives, not shuffled lists

Every route option is a realistic, complete trip: nights add up correctly, train rides fit family schedules, rooms fit four people, and dinners happen on time. Alternatives differ on meaningful choices — more time in Paris, fewer hotel moves, or more mountain scenery — rather than just reshuffling the same day.

4. One top recommendation

Instead of overwhelming you with a dozen equal itineraries, we recommend the single best route and explain clearly why it works best for your family. Other solid versions stay just one tap away.

The sample family

Land Paris June 12, fly home from Frankfurt June 25. Two adults, kids 9 and 12, two rooms. Vegetarian and no shellfish. Dinner by eight. No 6 a.m. trains. Paris and Switzerland are must-visits.

Recommended

Paris 5 · Lucerne 4 · Munich 3 · FRA 1

Three train moves, none before 9:00 AM, and plenty of airport time before the flight home. Interlaken is an easy day trip rather than an extra hotel move.

Step-by-step booking order

Flights are already set. Next: book the Paris hotel, then the TGV train to Switzerland, then the Lucerne hotel, then Munich, and finally the airport hotel in Frankfurt.

5. Clear comparisons with real trade-offs

When you explore alternative routes, you easily see differences in nights, travel time, pace, and which bookings would change. You can even borrow a day or a city from another version and preview the impact before deciding.

6. Booking directly with confidence

When it's time to book, we guide you step-by-step: why this item is next, direct links with your dates and family size prefilled where possible, and what to verify. You pay the hotel or train company directly, and we track your confirmation in your trip plan.

7. Effortless adjustments and trip repairs

Want an extra night in Paris? That's a preference change. Missed your morning train? That's a trip repair. Both show you a safe preview of what moves, what still works, and what to check with the train station or hotel. During your trip, your schedule stays live with today's plan front and center.

8. What we don't do

We do not sell tickets, take travel payments, or issue refunds. We do not make false guarantees about connecting rooms before hotel check-in. And we never secretly drop your rules to force an impossible schedule to fit. Read our travel and booking boundaries.
